Arrest made in Brookhaven bank burglary

Brookhaven police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with an Aug. 20 bank burglary.

Carvell E. Brown of Atlanta was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts committed during a commercial burglary. On Aug. 20, officers responded to a commercial alarm at SunTrust Bank at 4030 Peachtree Road. When officers arrived, they saw that a large window had been shattered and set up a perimeter around the building, according to the police report.

When the building was cleared, Brown was seen across the street at the Brookhaven MARTA station where he was apprehended by officers without incident. Brown was charged with 2nd degree felony burglary and criminal trespass.

Detectives also linked Brown to two separate incidents that occurred on Aug. 18th along the 4000 block of Peachtree Road and was additionally charges with two counts of 2nd degree felony burglary and two counts of criminal trespass.
