A search warrant led to the discovery of stolen items at a Clarkston address.
On Feb. 26, the U.S. Marshals Service executed a search at an apartment in the Clarkston Station Apartments on Montreal Road, according to Clarkston officials. The marshals were searching for Anthony Vaughn, 35, who has multiple active warrants throughout the metro Atlanta. Vaughn was not at the apartment during the search, but the marshals fpund stolen items and notified Clarkston police, according to officials.
Clarkston police detectives obtained a search warrant for the apartment and found numerous valuables ranging from credit cards, identifications, electronics, illegal drugs, sunglasses and purses, according to officials.
Many items were traced back to the owners and confirmed to have been involved in theft type crimes throughout Georgia, including Conyers, Gwinnett County, Forsyth County, Alpharetta and Sandy Springs, as well as Biloxi Miss. and other jurisdictions.
Officials said Clarkston Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is working with other agencies and sorting through the property. Detectives will be contacting the identifiable property owners throughout the coming weeks.
