Decatur police searching for murder suspect
Decatur Police are searching for a man accused of fatally shooting another man on the 700 block of Atlanta Avenue on Oct. 24 at approximately 11:40 p.m.
On Oct. 26, Decatur Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division identified 41-year-old David Denson of Atlanta as the sole suspect in this case. A news release states that Denson is currently wanted for murder in reference to this case.
According to the police department, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound after responding to the call near downtown Decatur on Oct. 24. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The case is currently being investigated by the Decatur Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Police are asking anyone with information about the case or about Denson’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately.
