DeKalb Cooperative Extension announces summer events

DeKalb County Cooperative Extension, which provides education in agriculture, the environment, and communities to youth and families, has released a schedule of events to keep children active and engaged over the summer.

Check out the details for each event below:

• A Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament on June 1 will feature a 90-minute show experience, along with a four-course meal. The tournament will be live with competing knights, jousting, sword fighting, and horses. Admission is $42.95 per adult; admission for children ages 3 to 12 will be $30.95 each and 4-H’ers of all ages can also purchase a ticket for $30.95.
• During 4-H Day at the Atlanta History Center on July 18, admission will be discounted to $7 per ticket into the museum for youth and adults.
• The annual Georgia 4-H Day at the Atlanta Braves game will be held on July 20. The Atlanta Braves will take on the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:20 p.m. at Truist Park, located at 755 Battery Avenue in Atlanta. The cost is $38 per ticket with reserved grandstand seating in section 413 through 416. To order tickets, go to, select seats, purchase car passes and checkout using a credit card. Printed Braves tickets will no longer be handled through the 4-H office, stated officials. Parking passes at $30 each can be ordered online after making ticket purchases.
