DeKalb County Board of Education to host superintendent community meetings

The DeKalb County Board of Education has released the dates and times of three upcoming town hall meeting locations for district employees, students, and community members to meet and hear from Dr. Devon Horton, the sole finalist to be the next superintendent of the DeKalb County School District (DCSD).

The meetings are set for Wednesday April 12 at Chamblee High School; Thursday April 13 at Dr. Ronald E. McNair Middle School; and Friday April 14 at the DCSD Administrative and Instructional Complex. Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and is expected to run for approximately two hours.

“The DeKalb County Board of Education encourages all community members to participate in the upcoming town hall meetings and provide feedback on Dr. Horton’s candidacy,” stated a press release from the school district. “The board is committed to ensuring a transparent and inclusive selection process that reflects the needs and aspirations of the district’s diverse community.”
