DeKalb court clerk to offer free notary training

DeKalb County Superior Court Clerk Debra DeBerry and the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority are hosting two free notary training sessions on March 17.

The first session is from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and the second session is from 1 to 2:30 p.m., according to a news release from DeBerry’s office.

“This training workshop is open to the public and highly recommended to anyone who is a notary public in the State of Georgia or would like to become one,” the news release states. “It is important to remember that a notary public should perform their duties to the utmost extent of the law, failure to do so could result in costly lawsuits and penalties as a notary is liable for his or her actions.”

Registration is not required. Those wishing to attend must use the Zoom links provided by DeBerry’s office. For the morning session, visit: https://gsccca-org.zoom.us/j/85157934214?pwd=T3c4b0s1Q0tWcmU5S1NldndvU2JZZz09
