DeKalb Industrial Way lane closures planned for April 12-14

Motorists and MARTA passengers should expect delays April 12-14 as two westbound lanes on DeKalb Industrial Way at Lawrenceville Highway will be closed for water line replacement.

The closures will be begin Monday night at 9 p.m. and continue through Wednesday, April 14 at 9 p.m., while crews work to decommission an old water line which was recently replaced with a new larger line. Crews will also pave the road, the county stated in a news release, adding that the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) initiated the construction project to address the rapid growth in this area.

Lane shift signs and traffic flaggers will assist motorists in moving safely around the lane closures and work site.

“Construction crews will work diligently to minimize the length of impact to motorists,” the county stated.
