Doraville police, GBI search for missing woman ‘believed to be in danger’
Officials with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Atlanta Field Office and Doraville Police Department are asking for the public’s help as they search for a woman who was last seen in Doraville on June 3.
“She is believed to be in danger,” stated officials in reference to 39-year-old Ebony Nicole Varner.
Police said Varner was seen at approximately 9:20 a.m. on June 3 at “in the area of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Interstate 285.”
According to some of Varner’s family members, Varner is a resident of Riverdale and her car was found in Doraville with her personal belongings inside.
Ebony Varner’s mother Stephanie Varner stated on Facebook that Ebony’s phone and purse were locked inside her vehicle. Her house key has been found but her car keys are missing.
Ebony Varner is described by police as a 5’2’ Black female weighing approximately 140 pounds.
Ebony Varner’s sister, April Varner-Chattman, added that Ebony has a tattoo on her chest that reads “Georgia Peach” and frequently wears a herringbone necklace.
