Dunwoody to host multiple youth camps through July

This July, city of Dunwoody will host two youth sports camps, where city officials said they will provide local youth with an opportunity to develop their athletic skill and enjoy the summer.

From July 22 through July 26, Atlanta Hustle Ultimate Frisbee Team will offer an introductory ultimate frisbee camp experience for children ages 10-14 at the Athletic Fields at Brook Run from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of catching and throwing a frisbee disc, while also learning the basic rules of the sport of ultimate frisbee.

Ultimate frisbee is a fast-paced team sport which requires children to run, jump, and throw, and participants should dress appropriately in athletic wear, according to a news release. Participants are asked to wear sneakers and field cleats are optional, but metal spikes will not be allowed on cleats.

The fee for the camp is $200 and all participants will receive two tickets to an Atlanta Hustle home game, played locally at Silverbacks Park between April and August, as well as a free disc. For any questions or concerns, reach out to the team info@atlantahustle.com.

Dunwoody will also host an Atlanta Youth-Flag Football Camp for ages 9-14 from July 8 -12 at the Athletic Fields at Brook Run from 8 a.m. to noon each day.

The news release states that those attending will participate in agility and fundamental drills and be taught about the sport of flag football. The fee for the camp is $150 and registration is open until July 8.
