Man accused of impersonating a cop, assaulting hotel manager

Dunwoody cop impersonaterDunwoody police said a man accused of assaulting a hotel manager returned to the hotel and posed as an officer.

Police released a picture of the man, who was captured by a surveillance camera, and hope someone recognizes him, according to the department’s Facebook page.

Police said the pictured man is responsible for an assault in December in which he threw hot liquid into the face of the manager of Staybridge Suites, near Perimeter Mall. Police said he then returned to the same hotel this month and impersonated an officer.

The suspect is a frequent visitor to the hotel, and possibly lives in the area, according to police. He is believed to be in his 30s, is between 5-foot-7 and 5-9, and weighs between 165 and 185 pounds.
