Marketplace to spotlight Black entrepreneurs

On Good Friday, April 18, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Senior Pastor Jamal Bryant will host a grand opening for the Bullseye Black Market at 6400 Woodrow Road in Stonecrest.

A news release states that the Bullseye Black Market, located in New Birth Missionary Baptist Church’s Samson Health and Fitness Center, will be a curated marketplace spotlighting more than 100 Black entrepreneurs.

The market will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on April 18 and April 19 and from noon until 7 p.m. on April 20.

The market’s creation comes in the wake of a movement boycotting Target stores due to the rollback of their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) commitments, according to a news release from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Some featured vendors have previously had or currently have retail presence in Target stores, the news release states.

The news release states that U.S. Congressman Hank Johnson and DeKalb County Government CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson will join Bryant and his wife Karri Bryant for the grand opening.

The market will offer vendors specializing in areas such as fashion, wellness, home goods, and other gourmet products.
