MEMORIAL DAY: Decatur group honors veterans at graveside

Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4706 in Decatur, joined others across the United States in remembering U.S. military veterans who died in service.

Post 4706 placed flags on veterans’ graves at Decatur’s Dawn Memorial Park May 24, ahead of the Memorial Day holiday.

The vision of Veterans of Foreign Wars is to “ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.”
