Stonecrest surveying residents on ARPA funds
City of Stonecrest officials are surveying residents, community organizations, business owners and stakeholders to determine the best use of funds received from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The survey will run through June 18 and can be accessed at: https://www.stonecrestga.gov/arpa-community-survey.
The act providing the funds was signed into law on March 11, 2021; Stonecrest officials said it is the sixth COVID-19 relief bill enacted.
City officials said Stonecrest was allocated $9.7 million in funding to address the negative impacts of the pandemic through education, housing, food assistance, or loan and grant programs.
“As the city and its residents continue to recover and move forward from this global pandemic, we encourage the community to join the conversation and share their ideas for shaping the future of Stonecrest,” said Mayor Pro Tem George Turner. “It is important that everyone completes this survey because their opinions matter.”
The ARPA survey will be available on the City’s website through June 18. City officials said to email arpaengagement@stonecrestga.gov for any survey-related comments or concerns.
