Dog killed, another missing after Dunwoody burglary

Dunwoody police say 28-year-old Marquez Angelo Young broke into a home on Winterbourne Court March 16 and stole two dogs. 

The burglary happened just after 1 p.m. when police say Young was confronted by the homeowner but was able to get away with the two animals.

According to police, one of the dogs was later located nearby after being struck and killed by a vehicle. The other dog, a 10-year-old Morgi breed, has not been located. The dog’s name is Daisy and weighs approximately 15 pounds. Police say she was wearing a collar with contact information on it.

Young has not yet been arrested. He fled the burglary in a black 2013 Kia Optima with Georgia license plate number EVR138, according to police.

Young is described as a 5-foot-10-inch Black male, weighing approximately 165 pounds.
